The Farnum House Inn • Circa 1785

The Farnum House Inn is a stately ante-bellum colonial circa 1785, bed and breakfast, located in a beautiful setting of mature oak trees on five acres near Orangeburg, South Carolina. As one of the few homes in lower South Carolina that survived the Civil War and the predations of Shermans troops, interesting history (such as stories of Confederate soldiers camping on the property - and occasionally returning) surrounds this property. The expansive and lush garden landscape offers a perfect venue for weddings, special events, historic filmings, romantic picnics, yoga and artist retreats, garden and historic tours, corporate picnics, or education venues.

My stay at the Farnum House was one I will never forget. If you're looking for somewhere unique to stay, this is definitely the place. The house has so much history and character. The rooms were cozy, the breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality of the owners was incomparable. I absolutely loved my time here and I am already planning my next visit!
